
Talented Boxers from Haryana Secure Semifinal Berths at 6th Youth Women’s National Boxing Championship
Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: On the fourth day of the highly anticipated 6th Youth Women’s National Boxing Championship, nine promising boxers from Haryana showcased their remarkable skills and advanced to the semifinals.
In the 50kg category, Anshu from Haryana displayed her dominance with a resounding 5:0 victory over Kafi from Madhya Pradesh. Anshu will now face off against Khushi Jadhav from Maharashtra in the semifinals.
Pranjal Yadav (70kg) and Muskan (75kg) secured their places in the last four with identical victories as the referee stopped the contest (RSC) in the first round. Pranjal will go head-to-head against the talented Amullya from Karnataka, while Muskan will face Sharvir Shetty, also from Karnataka.
Joining them in the semifinals are other Haryana pugilists, namely Asian Junior champion Kirti (+81kg), Bhawna Sharma (48kg), Mohini (52kg), Tanu (54kg), Priya (57kg), and Ankur Yadav (63kg).
Nikita Chand, a two-time Asian junior champion in the 60kg category, fought hard for a well-deserved 5:2 points victory against Sakshi from Haryana, securing her spot in the semifinals.
The talented boxers from Haryana have been showcasing their skills and determination in the championship, proving their mettle and aiming for glory. As the competition intensifies, the anticipation builds for the upcoming semifinal bouts, where these young athletes will strive to continue their impressive performances and edge closer to the coveted championship title.
