Exciting Smartphone Launches in July 2023: Foldable Devices, Gaming Smartphones, and More
July 2023 is shaping up to be an exciting month for smartphone enthusiasts in India as major brands such as Nothing, OnePlus, Samsung, iQOO, Oppo, Realme, and Motorola gear up to launch their newest devices. The lineup consists of mid-range and high-end flagship smartphones, including foldable devices, gaming-centric phones, and unique offerings like Nothing’s Phone (2) with a transparent back panel featuring glyph lighting.
Here’s a comprehensive list of the major phones launching in July 2023:
- Nothing Phone (2): Nothing is all set to launch its second-generation smartphone, the Phone (2). The company has confirmed that the Phone (2) will be based on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, offering a significant performance boost over its predecessor, the Phone (1). In terms of design, the Phone (2) will closely resemble the Phone (1) with subtle changes such as a curved frame with uniquely positioned glyph lighting. The Phone (2) will feature a 120Hz display with a centered punch hole and will be made using recycled metals. It is expected to launch on July 11 and is already available for pre-order on Flipkart.
- Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra: Motorola aims to make a statement in the world of foldable devices with the Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra. The Razr 40 Ultra boasts the largest cover display ever on a flip phone and a 6.9-inch 165Hz primary display with a peak brightness of 1400nits. On the other hand, the Razr 40 is a toned-down version with a smaller 1.5-inch cover display. While the Razr 40 Ultra is based on the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, the Razr 40 comes with the slightly modest Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. The Razr 40 series of smartphones are set to launch in India on June 3.
- Oppo Reno 10 series: Oppo is all set to unveil the Reno 10 series in India on July 10. These devices will continue the Reno lineup’s focus on design and cameras. The Reno 10 Pro+ is confirmed to feature the world’s first 64 MP periscope zoom lens with support for up to 120x hybrid zoom. It will be based on the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Oppo will also introduce the Reno 10 Pro with a 50MP primary camera, 32MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The Reno 10 Pro is expected to be powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 SoC.
- OnePlus Nord 3 and Nord CE 3: OnePlus has scheduled the launch of two phones in July—the Nord 3 and the Nord CE 3. The Nord 3, powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9000 SoC, is touted to be the best Nord device from OnePlus yet. It is expected to feature a bezel-less display and OnePlus’s iconic alert slider. The Nord CE 3 will be a more affordable version, based on the Snapdragon 782G SoC. It is likely to offer a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and may include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
